Raneem is a PhD student at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. Her research focuses on Wildfire Propagation & Defensible space analysis.
She is working as a GRA under the supervision of Prof. Hussam Mahmoud on a project investigates the ability to model fire propagation overtime in order to achieve effective mitigation strategies, firefighting efforts, and retrofitting by simulating fire spread from the wildland into communities, to make communities more resilient to wildfires.
